'My Guardian Dear' (01/01)
[info]anya2112 asked for sweet/sexy Methos. I'm not sure if this qualifies, but it's the thought that counts, right?

Note to my Iron Man readers: this actually is not an Iron Man story, but it does have my character from those IM stories, Charlotte Sparrow, in it. Since this is set in 1767, I think you can see it's a bit before Tony's time! But I hope you might enjoy it even without Tony :)

Characters: Methos, Charlotte Sparrow.
Notes: PG, Highlander, crossover with Pirates of the Caribbean, a story in the ‘Echoes the Sea’ series. Prequel to One Day.
Summary: Guardian angels can be found in the strangest places, even amongst pirates in lands far from home.

'I Am Going To The West' (02/??)
Part two, with me well into part three! Thanks to everyone who offered their eyeballs tonight :)

Rating: PG15
Notes: The title from a song of the same name by Connie Dover, WIP.
Characters: Methos, Duncan MacLeod, Original Characters.
Summary: It’s been a century and a half since Methos and Charlotte last met, and Duncan wants to know all the details.

I Am Going To The West

Methos made his way north to Rancho Caballo Rojo. According to Hank Jenkins’ directions, he should almost be there. A fence line had appeared a few minutes before and next should be the entrance to the road leading to the Black place. The gentle murmur of the Rio Grande floated around him, and the sharp light of the autumn sun warmed his face. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and allowed himself to relax, his horse setting the pace.

It would be good to stay in one place for a time. Even if it was just for a winter. He’d left ‘Doctor Benjamin Adams’ behind a few years ago, and still was in that place where he didn’t feel quite right in his skin; comfortable in this new persona. He’d left ‘Doctor Benjamin Adams’ behind a few years ago, and still was in that place where he didn’t feel quite right in his skin; comfortable in this new persona. ‘Matthew Adamson’ needed to gather some moss to do that, which meant this rolling stone needed to rest. )

'I Am Going To The West' (01/??)
When we last left Duncan, Methos, and Charlotte at Mac’s new winery, Duncan was insanely curious as to just how the two knew each other. While I’d intended this to be that story, instead it’s the story of the last time they met. I hope you’ll enjoy it regardless! On the upside, it isn’t a crossover!

Rating: PG13
Notes: A sequel to ‘He’s a Pirate’, The title from a song of the same name by Connie Dover, WIP.
Characters: Methos, Duncan MacLeod, Original Characters.
Summary: It’s been a century and a half since Methos and Charlotte last met, and Duncan wants to know all the details.

I Am Going To The West

“If you want my advice, I’d hire Carrie Williams away from Seacrest Vineyards,” Charlotte told Duncan. “She’s an assistant winemaker there; young, but with a lot of promise. As your winemaker, she can bring your label an edge.”

“Do you think she’s up to the challenge?” Duncan asked as he refilled Charlotte and Methos’ wine glasses.

“Absolutely! This winery has so much potential, and Carrie can help you realize it.” She took a sip from her glass. “I almost bought the place back myself.”

“You used to own it?” Methos asked curiously.

“I did. It was part of my landholdings once; I sold it just before Prohibition. It’s good land,” she said with obvious fondness. “I think you’ll be very happy here, Duncan. This is a place where even one of us can grow roots.”

“I think I’d like a few roots,” Duncan admitted, with a smile. “It feels like home already.”

The three Immortals, having finished the lunch Duncan MacLeod had made them, had spent the last half-hour talking about Duncan’s plans for the winery that he’d just purchased. Charlotte, who owned a neighbouring winery, had been giving him the benefit of her experience and local knowledge. Duncan, being the soul of politeness, had resisted trying to assuage his curiosity on just how Methos and Charlotte Sparrow knew each other. )

'I Remember You Not Fondly' (20/20)
I did it! The story is now complete! Thanks to everyone who has followed along over the last year. You have no idea what your comments have meant to me. And now those of you who told me you were waiting till it was done can read it!

Rating: R for violence & non-consensual sex.
Notes: A story in the Bloodties series, set in the Star Trek future/time line, but no ST characters, just the 'Mirror, Mirror' concept.
Characters: Methos, Duncan MacLeod, MirrorMethos, Kronos, Silas, Lucien LaCroix, Original Characters
Summary: When Methos' past becomes part of the present, the consequences could be deadly for those close to him.

Triona looked at herself in the mirror of the cabin that was permanently set aside for her here on the 'Scotia', the flagship of the Imladrin Planetary Union. ‘Like death warmed over’ was the most charitable thing she could say for herself.  )

Coming soon, the sequel, All We Ever Find (well, soon relatively speaking!)

Drabble: 'Gone Fishing'
A drabble inspired by an hour long fishing conversation that went on in the warehouse. Occasionally, my coworkers are good for something!

Gone Fishing

“Fishing? You fish?” Duncan MacLeod asked in disbelief.

“Yes, I like to fish,” Methos replied, sorting through his tackle box. “It’s very relaxing.” Then he paused for a moment. “Well, it is now. Not so much back in the day; running around naked in ice cold water with a pointed stick. That wasn’t relaxing at all.”

Rolling his eyes, Duncan said, “No, I’d imagine not.”

“But this? Oh yeah.” Methos was beaming.

Duncan pushed open the cooler lid with his foot, eyeing the dozens of beer bottles within, giving Methos a look. “And this?”

He handed Duncan a pole. “Bait.”

Now we start dealing with the fallout, and along the way I get to reintroduce you to several of my favourite original characters. I hope you enjoy this part of the story!

I Remember You Not Fondly ~ Part Eighteen

The group had transported up to the 'Scotia' just before the dawn; Triona not wanting to set foot in the Alqualondë again. In the brightly-lit transporter room, Methos was finally able to get a good look at his wife, and what he saw shocked him. Even though he'd tried to prepare himself for what he would find when he made it back home, the reality of it hit him hard. )

I Remember You Not Fondly ~ Part Sixteen

Curled on the bed like an abandoned cat, Triona struggled to maintain her sense of self. It was a fight made all the more difficult by the fact that the last thing she wanted to do was remember what had happened here. When what she really wanted was to flee to some safe corner of her mind where there was no more pain, no more terror. She knew she must have told him everything he wanted to know -- in the end. Just like he’d said she would. Just as he’d promised she would. )

Had you given up on me? I know it's been a while. But believe it or not I'd have written another part if I didn't have to go to bed! The Muse is cooperating! Thanks for all your patience. I appreciate it more than you know. And I hope you like this next part.

I Remember You Not Fondly ~ Part Fourteen

Methos sat on a ridge overlooking the alien device that had brought him to this hell. Would he ever make it back home? Doubt had begun to seep into every corner of his mind. He was used to being in control of whatever situation he found himself in, but this was different; here, he had absolutely none. Rarely in his life had he felt so powerless. )

'He's A Pirate' (01/01)
I decided that writing a little ficlet might give me the musepiration to get cracking on 'Fondly' -- it's a theory at least! So I decided to write a wee sort of sequel to my Highlander/Pirates of the Caribbean story, One Day. Don't worry, this one won't make you reach for a tissue :)

Rating: PG
Warnings/Notes: Something of a sequel to 'One Day', but not not a crossover.
Character(s): Methos, Duncan, OFC
Summary: Duncan begins a new venture with a little help (a very little help) from a friend.

He’s A Pirate

San Luis Obispo, California, 2008

“I give you five, no make that two, years before you’re bored silly and chuck it all for the big city,” Methos said, leaning against the granite countertop, a glass of red wine in one hand.

Duncan MacLeod just shook his head, pouring more wine into Methos’ glass before refilling his own. “You’d be wrong. Look, Methos, I wanted a change, new vistas, and this suits me fine.”

Methos looked around the tasting room of Mac’s new winery and sighed. )

'The Final Word You Ever Uttered To Me Was Love' (01/01)
This takes place after 'Tragedy' and after the WIP I'm working on, but if you've been wanting another story in this series, here you go! The title is from the lyrics of the Snow Patrol song 'Make This Go On Forever'. No warnings I can think of, PG15ish, about 700 words.

This is nearing the last of the stories that are crossovers with Grey's Anatomy. The series is moving about 60 years into the future, and that story is 'Live To Tell'.

The Final Word You Ever Uttered To Me Was Love

Methos pressed his fingers into the knotted muscles of her shoulders, seeking out the familiar map of her body. Emily leaned into the pressure, sighing in pained pleasure at his touch. Then she was sagging back against him, molding herself into the chiseled length of his body. Slipping his hands around her waist, he pulled her closer. Arms enveloping her, he pressed his lips against the pulse at her throat, and felt more than heard the little vibration of contentment that escaped her lips. )

'The Tragedy That We Knew As The End' (01/01)
Because you asked, but not quite what you asked for, I know. I’m just that way. I started this with no idea that it would end the way it did. Perhaps the song that inspired this very short piece of fiction made this particular end inevitable. For now at least.

I hadn’t even intended to write this, but the song, my mood, a few glasses of wine, and Methos, produced the unexpected.

A story in the ‘Emily’ series. The first two being “Irreconcilable Differences” and “Seriously”. This is nearing the last of the stories that are crossovers with Grey's Anatomy. The series is moving about 60 years into the future, and that story is 'Live To Tell'.

Rating around a PG16 for adult sexual situations.

Methos doesn’t belong to me – but oh, if he did! Where was I? Oh yeah… Methos doesn’t belong to me, but Emily does. The usual :)

'Seriously' (01/01)
Below the curtain you will find the sequel to Irreconcilable Differences. I hope you enjoy it! I had a lot of fun writing it.

Notes & Disclaimers: a sequel to ‘Irreconcilable Differences', this one titled 'Seriously' -- it's a word/expression the characters on Grey's use a lot, and Nin and I have started incorporating it into our own conversations – it never fails to make us laugh. (We’re easily amused, what can I say?) So, as you might guess, this story is a little more lighthearted than the last one.

For those of you new to the series, a familiarity with Grey's isn't really necessary, I'm using the hospital as a framework for Methos, now a doctor once more, and exploring one of my favourite themes: the price of immortality.

The usual disclaimers apply: all Grey’s Anatomy and Highlander characters belong to their owners and creators, and that’s not me. However, all original characters belong to me.

Thanks to Mickey for beta reading and thanks to you for reading!

Rated around a PG/PG13, me thinks.
